James Cameron's 1986 sequel to the classic Ridley Scott 1979 original Alien movie is impressive in so many ways. The tone of the first is maintained but the general suspense is replaced with far more action which results in a superior sequel but maintinaing the terror of the original.
57 years after being the only survivor of the Nostromos incident, Ripley is found by a Company team of Marines but then hears that the planet that she escaped from has had a colony established but contact is lost and now the marines are sent in to investigate what happened when the contact was lost. They however learn that the species of alien from Ripley's previous encounter are now breeding in numbers and the colony has become their nest and now being trapped there, they must destroy the nest while rescuing a young girl named Newt.
This movie is absolutely amazing to the tenth power!! The acting is absolutely incredible, the story is perfect, the sets are amazing, EVERYTHING is near perfection! "Alien" 1979 was impressive enough but this sequel however blows that one out of the water and into outer space with it's storyline. The special effects are really excellent as well.
