For thousands of years predators have used Earth for their coming-to-age rituals. Human ancients looked at them as gods and created the pyramids in their honour.
The ritual consists in creating an alien hive and sending young predators to face the aliens in a deadly battle. The objective is to conquer the hive. But unfortunately for them that not always happens. In those cases to avoid alien contamination to local populace they activate the self-destruction mechanism each carries on the wrist. That is the explanation how some ancient civilizations like the Aztecs, Toltecs and Mayans disappeared.
The action takes place in the 21st century in Antarctica. A group of human scientist lead by Charles Weyland, an industrialist billionaire, go to Antarctica to investigate a pyramid that according to satellite scans predates the Egyptian and Aztec ones.
Inside they find humans with holes in they ribcages and remains of facehuggers. To worse things a group of five teenage predators is arriving to take the ritual and engage the aliens in a deadly confrontation.
